A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified LGV Mechanic/Fitter to work at our Gilwilly site, repairing and maintaining LGV units and a varied range of trailers including walking floors, timber cranes, tippers, and curtain sided trailers.
The ideal applicant will have experience of maintaining LGV’s taking into account Health and Safety requirements whilst making the best use of time and resources.
Hours of work are variable but worked during dayshift, Monday to Friday inclusive, with alternate Saturdays. However, depending on workload, there may be a requirement to work additional hours.
Ideally you will come from a time served LGV background having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ or B/TEC qualifications. More importantly you will have experience of working in a Heavy Goods Vehicle workshop.

A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products are looking for an experienced LGV Driver for a Mobile Chipper Vehicle to work across our various sites.
The position involves operating the chipper, carrying out some basic maintenance on the chipper and filling in relevant paperwork as required. Drivers are required to work such hours as necessary including occasional weekends and evenings; this role also includes some working away from home. The successful candidate will hold a valid LGV Class C License and ideally be experienced operating a crane although training could be offered to the right candidate.

A. W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd. is looking for a Training Manager to join our LGV Driver Training Team, based at our Penrith office. The business operates a large fleet of LGV Vehicles with maintenance workshops over separate sites and several depots around the country.
The position involves, but is not limited to:
The successful candidate will have a valid LGV licence and experience of bulk transport and general haulage. You will also be confident liaising with Senior Managers and Colleagues and be able to manage your own time effectively.
Ideally you will be a DSA or NIR qualified instructor with excellent presentation skills, with a basic teaching qualification, e.g. PTLLS and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, though training will be provided where necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion are essential.
As the company operates throughout the United Kingdom there will be a requirement to travel and the need for a flexible approach to work as there will be the requirement for some early starts and late finishes.

About the role
This apprenticeship programme is designed to develop you over two years to become a respected and successful Transport Planner. You will obtain a nationally recognised apprenticeship as a Level 3 Transport Supervisor.
